In the coming weeks, the people of Polk County are going to need us as much as they have needed us the past few days. Hurricane Harvey and the devastation he has caused has broken the hearts of the HOM board. Because of this, we feel it appropriate to change our fundraiser, Savory September to Service September. It will still be on the same day - September 14th from 4-8pm on the Home Grown Porch (across from Lowe's). More information on all of the logistics will be coming very soon. 100% of the funds raised at Service September will go to Polk County Disaster Relief coordinated by Polk County Center of Hope. There will be various ways you can help with this event and we can't wait to let you know exactly how you can do so.
We know that It Takes a Village to come back from natural disasters and we are excited to partner with each of you as we take care of our village. We will still be having a dinner, just in a different format, and we will be selling our new "It Takes a Village" t-shirt, all funds raised from shirts sold in September will go directly to Polk County Disaster Relief.
